What I do

Coaching, teaching and speaking

Everything I do comes back to one idea: people and teams are capable of far more than they think. Here’s how I help them get there.

Train as a coach

The Life Coaching College

I founded The Life Coaching College in 2011 after doing the main coaching courses in Australia myself and not finding one that gave me everything I needed. So I built it, with the best trainers I could find.

Today it’s an ICF Level 1 and 2 accredited college that has certified more than 5,000 coaches. We train life, leadership and executive coaches, with pathways in ADHD coaching, NLP, positive psychology, DISC and more. If you’re thinking about coaching as a career, this is where to start.

Good fit if you

  • Want a career that helps people
  • Are a teacher, manager or leader who already coaches informally
  • Want an internationally recognised credential
  • Learn best face to face, with real practice

Teams & leaders

Murdoch Coaching

Talented people who don’t pull in the same direction will always underperform. Through Murdoch Coaching I work with sporting clubs and businesses to build on their strengths, agree on how they’ll operate, and close the gap between the team they have and the team they need.

The work draws on nearly 40 years of coaching, from junior cricket to national teams, and on strengths-based tools like VIA character strengths and DISC.

Good fit if your team

  • Has talent but isn’t firing
  • Lacks a shared vision of success
  • Needs agreed values and behaviours
  • Is building a culture people want to be part of

Speaking & workshops

Talks that move people

I run talks and workshops for sporting clubs, schools, businesses and leadership teams on performance, mindset, coaching and building high-performing teams. Expect energy, real stories from the change room and the classroom, and ideas people can use on Monday.

Popular topics

  • Building high-performing teams
  • The mindset shift for leaders
  • 100% responsibility
  • Coaching as a career
